March 19, 2015

Explore the work of Brooklyn based photographer and activist Ruddy Roye. A photographer who works across all mediums, Roye (born and raised in Jamaica) is most recognised for his smartphone images and Instagram account – using the social media platform as a way to document the reality of black life in America. He told The New York Times, “The media has a way of deleting the stories of people who society does not want to deal with. This is my humble way of putting these stories back in people’s faces — forming a real and active dialogue about these issues.” Check out his work below.
