ap fashion: sweater weather is finally here!
Well ya’ll, fall is officially here. As much as I have a bit of summertime sadness, the arrival of fall means that I finally get to pull out my favorite sweaters, jackets and riding boots! Chunky sweaters, flannels or oversized jackets are always great – keep warm, stylish and comfortable in the transition from fall to winter.

I copped an Urban Renewal, oversized camo jacket this summer on sale! Check the image below – just chilling uptown on a Friday night – paired my camo jacket with a sweatshirt underneath, jeans and knee- high riding boots. Camo jackets can also be paired with dresses or skirts for the fall season, a pair of booties or riding boots! The large jean jacket and blazer are also in once again – a flashback to the 80’s the 90’s.
Flannels also seem to be the wave—something about this lumberjack look that has caught on. Grabbed a flannel last weekend in my thrifting adventures. An extra layer with a short sleeve or long sleeve tee shirt can never do any harm. I rocked my flannel with a grey Zara tee, jeans courtesy of designer Djiba Berete, and a pair of beat up white high tops. I’ve also seen a couple of people rock the flannel with a skater style skirt or jeans shorts and baby tee’s. My excitement for fall really comes from sweaters! Knit or chunky – they can be dressed up or down. Pair a knit sweater with collar necklace and jeans or shorts and rights and riding boots or some Doc Marteens. The patterned sweater, like Biggie or Bill Cosby, can also make a comeback. The oversized look can be matched with a pair of leggings or jeans and maybe a gold chain if you’re feeling like a bit of a gangsta 😉 Follow echoesofnoise.tumblr.com for daily posts!
Stay fly and warm!
