roxane gay teases black women-centered comic book

Roxane Gay, author of the best-selling Bad Feminist is lending her brilliant voice to the world of comics in her upcoming series, The Banks. A story that follows three generations of Black women, all master thieves living in Chicago. “Their mantra: steal smart, right a wrong.” Say word?!

Although Gay only teased a little bit of information in the preorder announcement, she’s no stranger to comics. Gay also has written for six Black Panther books in the World of Wakanda arc. TBH, we’d read an ingredient list written by Roxane Gay, so we’re mad excited for this next project which you can preorder, here.
