grace jones-inspired photo series channels the icon’s unapologetic electricity

Inspired by the iconic collaborations between Jean-Paul Goude and his muse Grace Jones, photographer Alexandro Adds pays homage to the former bond girl and performance artist in his ‘Afrofuturismo’ photo series. Visually juxtaposing the flamboyant neon colors with the richness of model Mayra Sallie’s complexion. Styled by Gabriel Alves, the series isn’t a recreation of any of Grace’s but rather a reinterpretation of the that same confrontational, unapologetic energy.
