lena waithe joins ‘dear white people’ series to play reality tv star

Emmy-winning writer and actress Lena Waithe (‘Master of None’) is poised to join the cast of Netflix’s ‘Dear White People’. The latest addition to season 2 will play reality TV star P Ninny, from a fictional show called ‘Trap-House Tricks’. As a braggadocious MC, series creator Justin Simien describes the character as “Lena if Lena was a hot mess. It’s proto-Lena.”

Season 2 of ‘Dear White People’ airs in 2018.
