fka twigs launches representational instagram magazine avantgarden

Known equally for her avant-garde sound and equally experimental aesthetic, FKA twigs work is always best experienced with it’s visual, in my opinion. Thanks to her killer eye and seemingly boundless creativity, twigs create immersive worlds of #BlackGirlMagic that tingle the senses and engage one’s creative spirit. This time around, the petite Brit is launching her own digital magazine, AvantGARDEN, set to be published solely on Instagram. “As far as I’m aware, no-one’s done a monthly magazine with a beautiful layout and thought of it that way on Instagram,” FKA twigs told DAZED. “Rather than posting selfies or pictures of your cups of coffee or avocado toast, I thought it would be exciting to see people using it in more of a creative way to express themselves. I would love to make it into a physical thing eventually, or it can be put in a gallery, or it can be on a website.”
