new ‘insecure’ trailer: “that’s why i make sure my white clients get less on their tax returns – it’s reparations.”

We’ve been waiting all year for HBO’s hit comedy series Insecure to return for its second season, and it’s finally almost here! In the latest trailer, we pick up right where we left off: Issa (Issa Rae) is newly single, fumbling through awkwardly bad dates. But her ex Lawrence (Jay Ellis), looking fine as ever, isn’t completely out of the picture either, as the two clearly haven’t gotten over what they had. Molly (Yvonne Orji) shows up to coach Issa through her “hoe phase,” and their friend Kelli (Natasha Rothwell) proves why the character has been promoted to series regular, making hilarious quips like, “That’s why I make sure my white clients get less on their tax returns – it’s reparations. Real talk, don’t tell nobody because I’m gonna go to full jail.”
