Loving the work of Brazilian artist Felipe Rude. Rude uses ink pens, pencils, and paint to sketch expressive portraits of black figures. These detailed renderings each have something remarkably familiar and human about them. Maybe in the ambiguity of their unfinished features, or the warmth of their eyes that seem to actively peer back at you. In the backgrounds of several of the drawings Rude creates these patterns that draw the eye to examine the detailed and deliberate line work of the entire compassion. Very cool, check it out below.
