feature: a voice for central africa – the photography of yannis davy guibinga

July 13, 2015

Take a look at the photography of young Central African photographer Yannis Davy Guibinga. Currently studying Digital Enterprise Management at the University of Toronto in Canada, Guibinga spends most of his free time shooting people and places – a lot of his work focused on his country Gabon (in particular, Libreville – its capital city). The photographer states, “I feel like Gabon and Central Africa in general are sometimes left out of the conversation when it comes to African creatives. Most of the people we see come from places such as Nigeria or Ghana, which is a good thing for them, but I think it would also be great to show to the world that Africa does not stop at these few countries and that there are way more talents on the continent.” Explore his beautiful work below.
