I’D LIKE TO EARN A TICKET TO THE FESTIVAL, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR THE EARN-A-TICKET PROGRAM?
To get started, you need to officially enter the 2019 EARN-A-TICKET program on the Propeller platform. From there, you will be directed to all the volunteer and online engagement opportunities for the program in your city.

HOW DO I EARN-A-TICKET?
AP ARMY activists who successfully accrue a minimum of 7,000 points on the Propeller platform AND complete all the required actions will be eligible to redeem (1) GA WEEKEND PASS with their points to attend both days of the festival in their community. Limit one per individual. Tickets are limited and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis to all verified eligible participants. Space is limited for this special opportunity.
HOW MANY TICKETS CAN I REDEEM?
AP ARMY activists who successfully complete the requirements are eligible to redeem (1) ONE WEEKEND GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET to AFROPUNK 2019.
Duplicate registrations will NOT be honored and will NOT unlock additional tickets to the festival. Earning double points will NOT unlock additional tickets to the festival — you can only earn ONE WEEKEND GENERAL ADMISSION ticket!
Tickets issued through the AFROPUNK ARMY EARN-A-TICKET program are non-transferable. Tickets are limited and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis to all verified eligible participants. Space is limited for this special opportunity and tickets are not guaranteed.
I’VE MET ALL THE REQUIREMENTS, WHERE DO I REDEEM MY TICKET?
Once you’ve successfully met all program requirements, you can redeem ONE WEEKEND GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET on Propeller.
All redemption requests will be reviewed & approved by the AFROPUNK ARMY team.
Once your request has been reviewed, you will be notified by the Propeller team about whether or not it has been approved. If it has, you will receive confirmation along with instructions about how to redeem your ticket to the festival.
ARE THERE ID REQUIREMENTS OR AN AGE LIMIT TO SIGN UP FOR A VOLUNTEER PROJECT?
Some volunteer service projects have minimum age requirements; please be sure to check out all of the details associated with your chosen event(s) for any age restrictions.
WHAT ARE MY TRANSPORT/PARKING OPTIONS FOR GETTING TO A VOLUNTEER PROJECT?
Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to/from volunteer service projects.
WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE THE VOLUNTEER SERVICE DATE I SIGNED UP FOR?
If you can no longer attend the volunteer service data you signed up for on Propeller, please send an email to hello@propeller.la letting them know at least 24 hours in advance of the service date.
WHEN IS THE NEXT AFROPUNK ARMY SESSION?

HOW MANY TICKETS HAVE BEEN SET ASIDE FOR AFROPUNK ARMY?
We’re excited to make the EARN-A-TICKET program available in Brooklyn for the fifth year in a row and offer a limited quantity of tickets to people interested in becoming active online and in their local communities. We’re also running the EARN-A-TICKET program in Atlanta this year.
By helping organizations and causes in need, AP ARMY activists have the opportunity to learn firsthand the valuable skills of dedicated individuals working on the ground to change the status quo and to generate impact online via important actions.
HOW MANY POINTS IS VOLUNTEERING WORTH?
You’ll receive 1,000 points on Propeller for every (1) one hour you volunteer.

ARE THERE ANY STIPULATIONS REGARDING AGE, FINANCIAL NEED OR DOCUMENTATION STATUS?
We welcome activists from all races, abilities, socioeconomic classes, sexual orientations, creeds, and nationalities to participate in the AP ARMY EARN-A-TICKET program. Some community service projects do have minimum age requirements. So please be sure to check out all of the details associated with your chosen event for any age restrictions.
WHAT ABOUT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES IN ANOTHER CITY?
Volunteer service in another city is NOT an available option at this time. But there are several ways to get involved even if you’re not a resident of New York City or Atlanta or are unable to attend a volunteer service event.
While volunteering is the best and quickest way to accrue the points you need to redeem a ticket, it is possible to do so by taking action online over time on Propeller.
