Elaine Brown is a former leader of the Black Panther Party, as its Minister of Information and Chairman. She is the author of A Taste of Power and The Condemnation of Little B. A Taste of Power, her autobiography, was optioned in 2017 by Robbie Brenner Productions (Dallas Buyers Club) for production of a feature film, slated to start filming at the end of 2019, to be directed by Chinonye Chukwu, the first black women to win the Sundance Grand Prize (2019).
