We asked our talented creative AFROPUNK community to submit their work to our platform during these turbulent times. (EMAIL US: contribute@afropunkworldwide.com)

We’ve received an influx of amazing visual art, writing, spoken word, music, fashion and more so far! We look forward to sharing them with you throughout this COVID_19 quarantine period on afropunk.com and our social platforms.

Meet Hiteca, a London DJ with sounds you definitely want to hear.

Tell me a bit about you –
I’m based in South London, (from West London originally) been deejaying now for nearly three years. I would say my soundscape is influenced by the African, Caribbean and Latin diaspora mixed in with some British flavour of course! It can be anything from Bass, Reggaeton, Dancehall, Kwaito and Gqom to UK funky, Jersey Club, Techno and FDM too.

Any inspirations?
Artists and DJ’s that inspire me at the moment are people like Leonce, DJ Swisha, Ase Manual, Lyzza, Kelman Duran, Florentino and the Prestige Pak gang in London too. Too many names to mention but they’re just a few!

Check out his mix and follow him on SoundCloud and Instagram to support upcoming projects!
