indya moore makes ‘steven universe’ debut

The lovely and talented Indya Moore has just joined the cast of one of our favorite shows, Steven Universe. Introduced to audiences this past Sunday night, the epilogue to the episode brought on instant fan favorite, Shep (voiced by Moore). Appearing as a new love interest for Sadie (voiced by Kate Micucci), the two have been dating for two months. And like several of the other characters on the Peabody Award-Winning animated series, Shep uses non-binary pronouns “they” and “them” as well as “partner” — just like Moore. And they are not the first non-binary character on the show, which was created by Rebecca Sugar who is also nonbinary. We love to see it.
