Spooky season may have already come and went but we’d be remiss not to dedicate a few keystrokes to Junglepussy’s latest song and video, “Spiders.”

The Nick Hook-produced track finds JP veering into trip-hop territory trading in her usual rap delivery for torch singer vocals that would make Roisin Murphy or Beth Gibbons proud. The BDSM-inspired video for the song is creepy and freaky at the same time as JP plays the role of the black widow — eight eyes and all — with a man bound up in her web. The song and its titillating visuals are just further proof of Junglepussy’s versatility and willingness to push past artistic boundaries.
