superhero drama ‘raising dion’ adaptation teased in new trailer

Based on Dennis Liu’s comic book and short film of the same name, Raising Dion is a family superhero drama series that follows Black mother Nicole Reese as she discovers her young son’s ever-changing and multiple abilities. With the help of her deceased husband’s best friend, Pat, the two must protect Dion from those trying to exploit him while uncovering the true origins of his abilities.

Produced by Michael B. Jordan, the series stars Alisha Wainwright, Ja’Siah Young, Jason Ritter, Jazmyn Simon, and Jordan. Netflix, which ordered 10 episodes of the series, will begin streaming Raising Dion October 4.
