Combine blood-curdling strings and a trunk-rattling low-end courtesy of producer Kwes Darko with the scream rap vocals of South Florida’s Denzel Curry and U.K.’s Slowthai and you have “Psycho,” a new song made for raging.

AFROPUNK fave Curry hasn’t let up from his onslaught in 2019; from releasing his opus ZUU, earlier this year to covering Rage Against the Machine and Bad Brains songs Denzel’s proven that he’s a versatile young star and a force to be reckoned with. For his part, Slowthai’s become the toast of the London music scene for his punk approach to rapping and his anti-monarchy/anti-establishment message on his acclaimed Nothing Great About Britain album.

On “Psycho” the two drop a verse each, flexing their prowess as MCs rather than touching on going deep on any personal or political topics. “Psycho” is simple and effective — just two sonic cousins from across the pond from one another going crazy on a beat meant to make you follow suit.
