We walk into spaces and all eyes are on us. We are bold, beautiful, bodactious and brilliant — the black and brown melanin of our skin doesn’t hurt. We take nothing and make it into THE thing. One of the most inspiring things about the AFROPUNK Fesitval — aside from being surrounded by so many intersections of Black folk — is the pure creativity, style and ingunity that people put into their presentation. We show up! We show out! And more times than not, we steal the show because we can’t help ourselves.
