director’s cut of ‘when i get home’ film to hit museums

In addition to performing tomorrow night at AFROPUNK Paris, our girl Solange is debuting a new extended director’s cut of When I Get Home—the companion film to her album of the same name. Featuring new scenes and new musical arrangements, the project will first premiere in Solo’s hometown at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas on July 17 and will have a run-time of 41 minutes. If you don’t happen to live in H-Town, the film will be screening at museums across the country and once in London on select dates from July 18 until the final screening on Oct. 13 at the Chianti Foundation’s Chianti Weekend in Marfa, TX. Can’t make it to one of those? No worries, the film will be available through digital stores and streaming services on Aug. 5. Gang, gang!
