solange took us to church with surprise show in nyc
Last night in New York City, Solange graced St. Peter’s Church with a visceral live performance of When I Get Home. Dressed in a suit by designer Grace Wales Bonner, the British fashion goddess, the two women present their “Devotional Sound” concert series, featuring jazz/hip-hop crew Standing on the Corner for a night of performance art. It was a breathtakingly intimate night of music, mysticism and magnetism. Your fav could never, basically.

Performing on a literal altar, Bey’s little sister served third eye realness, chanting and meditating before the small crowd. And instead of transforming the holy space, her presences only magnified spirituality and existential introspection.
there was a point during the show where she got emotional while performing ‘things I imagined.’ to be this close to her, to feel the raw energy radiating just from her presence… I was in awe. thank you, again @solangeknowles. pic.twitter.com/GrR0PL3MXW
