A crazy-ass man in Western New York has been charged with threatening the life of U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar from Minnesota.

The man, Patrick Carlineo Jr., was arrested after making threatening calls to Omar’s D.C. office last month. Described as a self-avowed Trump supporter, Carlineo Jr.’s expletive-filled tirade was fueled by the same Islamophobic rhetoric President Trump spews on a regular basis.\

“Do you work for the Muslim Brotherhood? Why are you working for her, she’s a fucking terrorist? I’ll put a bullet in her fucking skull,” Carlineo allegedly told staffers, according to the criminal complaint filed in the Western District of New York.

According to Vox, the 55-year-old suspect told investigators that he “loves the president and that he hates radical Muslims in our government.” I bet.

Omar is one of the first of two Muslim women to serve in Congress. In recent months, she has come under fire for her nuanced, but critical comments on the U.S.’s policies towards Israel and silencing tactics that are used to end criticism against it.

“What I’m fearful of — because Rashida [Tlaib] and I are Muslim — that a lot of our Jewish colleagues, a lot of our constituents, a lot of our allies, go to thinking that everything we say about Israel to be anti-Semitic because we are Muslim.” She wasn’t wrong about that.
