yet another reason to love jordan peele

It’s the words your mama tells you you’ll hear one day when the time is right. It’s the sort of thing they write about in the movies. It’s those 12 words you wait to hear your whole life: “I just don’t see myself casting a white dude as the lead.”

I heard those words for the first time two days ago. The man who promised these blessings was a slick film-making fella named Jordan (some of us call him Peele). I like to call him smooth talker.

Peele followed his statement by making it clear that his disinterest in casting white men is born from the fact that we’ve all seen that movie time and time again.
