premiere: embrace ‘goodbyes’ with new visual ft. tika, desiire and casey mq

Your soul is in for a real treat when Toronto-based artist TiKA has a new project out. This time, the soulstress is joined by Congo-born, Toronto-based singer/songwriter DESIIRE and Canadian singer/songwriter/musician/producer Casey MQ for “Goodbyes.”

A tremendously sensual groove fueled by an intoxicating melody of smooth neo-soul, led by TiKA’s vocals, “Goodbyes” is about the painful parting of two lovers or friends and focusing on the positive aspects of the relationship and the time spent together. It’s a nostalgic song that lives in love and celebrates growth and experience.

The trio of musicians first came together last summer and built upon a demo DES had been working on. When he showed the foundation to TiKA, they knew they had something special. In comes Casey MQ, whose production prowesses was the final ingredient of this potent mixture.

The sumptuous visual — shot by 19-year-old Ghanaian cinematographer AYO — is a complimentary fashion-forward short. Short, sweet and free of pretense, this engrossing visual will be on repeat all damn day.
