neo-nazi robocall says oprah is a “magical negro”

November 5, 2018

White Supremacists have been trying it with these egregious robocalls and now they’ve come for their latest victim: Oprah. The billionaire mogul hit the pavement in Georgia last week to help Stacey Abrams campaign for Governor and that had racists shook enough to inundate Georgians with calls that described Winfrey as a “magical negro,” according to Blavity.

Y’all.

If that isn’t bad enough, the robocall also referred to Abrams as a “poor man’s Aunt Jemima.” Beyoncé take the wheel. The unidentified voice claimed, “white women can be tricked into voting for [Abrams], especially the fat ones.” This is some throwback racist shit, with tag-lines pulled from Black rhetoric on incendiary tropes racists use to describe Black Americans. What is most comical is how these white supremacists will turn on white women just to guilt them into voting to uphold a system that CLEARLY does not give a damn about them. But that’s tea for another party.

Abrams’ Republican opponent Brian Kemp called the attacks “vile and bigoted” as if those aren’t the daily affirmations of your average Trump supporter.

The same group targeted Florida Governor hopeful Andrew Gillum with his own set of robocalls that either claim that Jews are “the ones that been putting Negroes in charge over the white folk, just like they done after the Civil War,” or a fake Gillum promising cheap healthcare in the form of chicken bones. Wow.

Trash.
