Florida gubernatorial candidate and Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum has been fighting racist smears his entire political career, but the latest campaign against him is a new low. Just two weeks ahead of the election, a neo-Nazi group from Idaho (naturally) is running racist robocalls against the popular mayor. Using exaggerated minstrel voiceover, the message states: “Well hello there. I is the Negro Andrew Gillum, and I be asking you to make me governor of this here state of Florida.”

Oh, okay! The super-racist messaging is said to be “performed” over old Amos ‘n’ Andy music, to boot. All of which goes to show how pathetic and desperate white folks on the other side of the aisle are to not see a Black man in power. Tragic.

In the “ad,” the fake Gillum promises cheap health care coverage in the form of chicken feet before using Jewish people as a scapegoat for the success of non-whites in this country, claiming Jews are “the ones that been putting Negroes in charge over the white folk, just like they done after the Civil War.” Sigh.
