afropunk mixtape #046: register your ass to vote

October 1, 2018

If the past two years have shown us anything, it’s that elections have consequences. It’s true that national elections usually feel like choosing the lesser of two evils, but some of those evils are pretty fucking vile. This year, the stakes are high, and we need to use every means available to us to make a change. That means every vote, and every voice in the street holding their elected officials accountable. Because at the end of the day, when you’re choosing between the lesser of two evils, you’re really choosing which of them you want across from you at the negotiating table. So make sure your ass is registered to vote.

Registration deadlines vary by state. New York’s deadline is October 12th. To check your registration status, find out the registration deadlines where you are, and find your polling place, visit headcount.org
