santigold is back with funky new music, goes on tour with lauryn hill

Back with some fresh music since 2016’s 99¢ album, AFROPUNK alumni Santigold is out with a new mixtape called, ‘I Don’t Want: The Gold Fire Sessions’. Debuting ahead of the singer-producer’s tour with fellow AP vet, Miss Lauryn Hill, the new mixtape is a refresher course in Santi’s effervescent lyricism layered with afro-Carribean-inspired melodies and soundscapes. There’s a lil’ something for everybody on this majorly infectious complication, from the undeniability of the earworm that is “Run The Road” to the grimy, sensual “Goldfire”, the mixtape is a declaration that Santi ain’t never left.
