lena waithe & kid fury collab on upcoming comedy tv series

Epic programming news from HBO with the announcement of their plan to pick up 2 Dope Queens for 4 more specials, now the cable giant is working with podcast king Kid Fury and The Chi creator Lena Waithe for a new pilot. According to Variety, Waithe will take on the role of executive producer of “a surreal dark comedy that follows Greg, a 20-something sarcastic gay black man navigating adulthood and responsibility in New York City while struggling to wrap his head around his undiagnosed clinical depression.” Kid Fury will write and co-executive produce the half-hour series and it sounds dope AF already.
