Black Millennials had pasty white GIRLS and now we’re sinking our teeth into Insecure, but there’s so much room to explore the young black women’s experience, especially in NYC, which brings us to Barely Adults! A brand new web series that chronicles the experiences of a young Black woman, Paige, played by Amber Avant, as she navigates the complexities of corporate culture in 2008 while working for a brutish tv producer. Throw in the chaos of the Great Recession, the existential dread of adulthood, and the misadventures of growing up and you have “Barely Adults!”
