london’s lgbtqia film festival presents rise series aimed at elevating the narratives of qtipoc on the big screen
Showing as part of the BFI Flare Festival in London, event producer Andrew Odong’s ‘RISE’ is a multi-media exploration of QTIPOC representation on film. The program features intimate workshops and panel discussions with professionals working in the industry seeking to affirm the power of film and willing to explore the power that medium represents to broaden the lens and on-screen depictions of the nuanced experiences of QTIPOC. Speakers for the event include Dionne Edwards, Jenn Nkiru, Topher Campbell, and Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor.
