In the spirit of honoring Women’s History Month, photographer Mikael Owunna continues his ‘Limit(less)’ portrait series, aimed at exploring and representing black queer and trans African femmes. The new images, most of which were never published before, mostly focus on women who reside in Europe.
Owunna’s work creates space for marginalized femme voices of the African diaspora through photography. Shot in 10 countries, the series debunks the notion that it is “un-African” to be LGBTQ+.
