atl’s black punks take over the local rock scene at punk black

If you’re into hard rock and happen to be an Atlanta local and you haven’t heard of Punk Black, you’re probably living in a very dark, very sad hole. Punk Black is a monthly event series hosted by local rockers and performers, like Von Phoenix guitarist for Howling Star, bringing raucous punk culture to the black community. Organized as an event to for people of color, specifically, Punk Black offers a platform for black creatives to explore their musical inclinations, cosplay nerdom, and artistic expression in a safe space, for them, by them.

Punk Black’s next event is coming up this Saturday at Union EAV, 10p.m.! Come on out, meet some new friends, enjoy the tunes, and even show off a cosplay.
