Lupita Nyong’o is keeping busy in the wake of the massive success of Black Panther, announcing plans to reunite with co-star Danai Gurira for the miniseries adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Americanah. A playwright as well as an actress, Gurira will take on the role of writer for the adaptation. This endeavor marks Gurira and Nyong’o third collaboration, in addition to Black Panther, Guirira wrote the play Eclipsed, which earned Nyong’o her first Tony nomination. Is Lupita coming for her EGOT?

Chimamanda’s original story follows “two young Nigerian immigrants, Ifemelu and Obinze, who face a lifetime of struggle while their love story endures”. David Oyelowo was originally tied to another adaptation project but no word on weather or not he is apart of this one.
