For reasons unbeknownst to us, the folks at the Today Show rolled out a recreation bust of Nefertiti that, confusingly, depicted a white woman instead of the Egyptian queen. Using preserved remains, modern tech, and “painstaking artistry” (ahem) Expedition Unknown host Josh Gates, and his creative team, brought life to their…take on the mother of King Tut. And boy was it creative! Adorned with beautiful trinkets and costuming, Gates’ version of Nefertiti boasts a fresh tan, pink lips, and light colored eyes. Sounds fake, but okay!
