Check out the first look at the CW’s newest superhero series ‘Black Lightning’ staring Nafeesa Williams playing the titular character’s eldest daughter, Anissa, and her alter ego Thunder, who is a metahuman just like her dad.

The superhero drama follows Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) a retired electricity-powered superhero who is spending his retirement as a charter school principal. That is until he is drawn back to his old ways when his daughter (Nafeesa Williams) is the latest target of the local ‘100 Gang’. What Cress doesn’t know is that his daughter has developed powers of her own.

Sounds dope on its own? Nafeesa took to Twitter to remind fans that her character is a lesbian, too!
