Munira Yussuf is a Sweden-based visual artist who uses her artistry to create representations for third culture kids and other Black Muslims who live in predominately White societies. Now, at 24-years-old, Yussuf has been seriously honing in on her natural gifts by teaching herself how to get better on the way. What I love most about her illustrations, outside of their representational nature, are the elements Yussuf borrows from medieval art and art nouveau that add an air of regality and spirituality to the figures.

Check her out on Instagram.
