In Alabama, Black voters have faced increasingly difficult obstacles just to vote alone. And despite that, Black voters came out in support of Doug Jones last night in full force.

Since the first election of Barack Obama, Alabama voter ID laws become more stringent and access to polling places and governmental offices that issue ID’s have decreased as rural locations have shut down. Voter suppression has found real roots in Alabama, lets just say, even in legally dubious ways:

Even still, Black Alabamians showed out for Doug Jones last night with 93% of Black men and 98% of Black women voting against accused pedophile Roy Moore. Meanwhile, White Alabamians were much less declarative in their “resistance” against not only sexual abuse and harassment, but Moore’s extreme backwoods ideology and racism as exit polls revealed that 63% of White women and 72% of White men voted for Moore in the end. Gross.
