Every single one of your nostalgic sci-fi wishes are about to come true.

With the breaking news that Jordan Peele is directing the CBS All Access reboot of ‘The Twilight Zone’, audiences everywhere are revving up for the modern take on an old form.

Following the success of his major directing debut, the Get Out director and comedian is spreading his much-loved influence to the classics, and we couldn’t be more hype.

Seeing as the original series–starting in 1959– had little to absolutely no black characters or executives behind the scenes, it is a major leap in the series, and the industry as a whole. There is no shortage of artistry and creativity in Peele’s repertoire, as his ongoing series ‘Key and Peele‘ captivates viewers and pushes boundaries weekly–and given this opportunity to write and possibly host the upcoming reboot, ‘The Twilight Zone’ may very well give history a run for its money, and issue a new generation of sci-fi as we know it.
