black femme-fronted post-punk band in brazil re-imagines vintage rock
Behold the intensity of hard rockers Kali, straight outta Araraquara, São Paulo. Formed in 2014 and driven by cultural, political, and philosophical messaging and the vintage traditional stylings of 70s and 80s progressive and post-rock, Kali mixes a wide range of musical movements with conceptual interpretations. Comprised of musicians Augusto Dilorenzo on drums, Marcelo Aquino (guitar and backing vocals), Gabriel Cortilho (guitars), Pedro Eça (bass), Rafael Adão (keyboards and synthesizers) and Natália Munroe (lead vocals), all the members in the band contribute to a variety of other projects, which they love because it enables them to experiment in different avenues and bring that growth together with Kali, which culminates to this exciting mix.
