wtf: warrant issued for deandre harris, the black man beaten by white terrorists in charlottesville

The whole damn system is guilty as hell.

On Monday, WCPO reported that Deandre Harris, the Black man who was beaten by a group of white supremacists with poles and sticks during the first Charlottesville rally in a shocking incident that was captured on video, is now wanted on charges of “unlawful wounding” in connection to the melee.

“A magistrate, not the police department, issued the warrant,” WCPO reported, “although a news release said police officers had verified other video that led to the arrest. Harris is accused of attacking a man in the group that beat him.”

Journalist and youth advocate Chuck Modi posted the viral video of the attack in a parking garage near the University of Virginia campus to Twitter, and claims he had to intervene by kicking one of the “Nazis” in the back for the kid to escape “safe but bloody.”

Harris’ attorney Lee Merritt says the charge is “clearly retaliatory” for Harris’s efforts to use social media to identify suspects in his beating, which left him with eight staples in his head, a broken wrist, and a chipped tooth. 18-year-old Daniel Borden, who former classmates say made anti-Semitic acts, was charged with malicious wounding in connection to the attack.

This just goes to show that the same white supremacists carrying torches in the streets are the ones holding badges and gavels in the justice system.
