new music: sza struggles to overcome heartbreak and hardships in atmospheric “broken clocks”
SZA is back! At midnight, the St. Louis-born singer shared “Broken Clocks,” the third release from her much-delayed album, CTRL. Originally slated for February, CTRL will finally drop on June 9. And if the three singles–”Drew Barrymore”, “Love Galore (ft. Travis Scott)” and now “Broken Clocks”–are any indication, it will be well worth the wait! The artist seems to be moving in a more radio-friendly direction, but without losing that unique, alternative neo-soul sound that made her so appealing. And if you don’t like it, well, as she says on the track: “I just do it my way / All I got is these broken clocks / I ain’t got no time.” Check out “Broken Clocks” below!:
