Toro y Moi’s Chaz Bear (formerly Chaz Bundick) explained that his forthcoming album, Boo Boo, is influenced by the likes of Travis Scott, Daft Punk, and Frank Ocean, recognizing the “common thread between these artists was their attention to a feeling of space, or lack thereof.” These influences are evident in the ambient and subversively romantic lead single “Girl Like You” and its colorfully retro video.
