it’s not enough to fire the cop who killed jordan edwards, let’s not get distracted

It’s great and all that the police officer, Roy Oliver, who shot and killed15-year-old Jordan Edwards has been fired from his position, but once again, let’s not lose sight on the fact that a firing is perhaps the very least the Balch Springs Police Department could do after Oliver shot the teenager, who was leaving a party, in the head. Since the incident, police accounts of the events have changed (shocker) and now is when it’s extremely important for us to hold the former police man, his department and potential prosecutors accountable for senselessly taking the life of a young person. Accountability isn’t a slap on the wrist.
