May 9, 2017

CALÇADA (“sidewalk” or “pavement” in Portuguese) is an ongoing street style photography project created to pay tribute to the diy, self-inspired aesthetics and people of the African diaspora in Brazil. The series was shot in Salvador, Bahia, the metropolitan area with the highest percentage of black people outside of Africa and features a few of the local faces. Peep some of our favorite aesthetics, below, and follow CALÇADA on Instagram.
