fashion designer loza maléombho celebrates multiculturalism, empowers local women with cote d’ivoire-produced collection

Loza Maléombho is an award-winning womenswear label now produced in Cote d’Ivoire. Created in 2012 by the brand’s namesake Loza Maléombho, a graduate of the University of the Arts of Philadelphia who was raised between Côte d’Ivoire and the US, who was inspired by eclectic multiculturalism and contemporary fashion. In producing the collection in Côte d’Ivoire, Loza aims to empower local women who come from challenging backgrounds by hiring them to work within and take ownership of small manufacturing workshops.
