new music: uk ambient r&b crooner alxndr london meshes the ethereal with the electronic in new ep “a long time ago”

2016 has been full of R&B releases that push the boundaries of the genre to include the sounds of electronic, soul, funk, and pop. Throwing his hat into the ring, Alxndr London is showing that the lush production of ambient music is a perfect canvas for his falsetto to shine. In his new EP “A Long Time Ago,” London melds jazz drum patterns with the washed-out, lo-fi synths of ambient to make a sound so unique that it defies neat categorization.
