new music: berlin-based electronic artist sky deep brings the funk, the rhythm, and the grooves of the universe in her new project “time & space pt.1”

October 7, 2016

Not everyone can bring the funk. It’s not something that you can really describe outside of a bassline here and the right drum kick there, but when it’s there it’s undeniable. Sky Deep brings the funk, and her new, much anticipated first solo album ‘Time & Space’ is the proof. It encompasses all genres, styles, eras and life that has influenced Sky throughout her musical journey, a sort of pilgrimage to the beginning of her love and life with music and extending out from her in a very unique and special way. Hailing from a Brooklyn and coming from a family of musicians from jazz, gospel, through the eras of rock n roll, disco, funk and hip hop, Sky Deep explores her heritage and philosophy on human existence through her own musical creations which are driven with her voice, guitar work and electronics. The music is definitely electronic, but it has elements of all of her influences, cohesively sprawling over 20 minutes. Enjoy this deep dive into the mind of Sky Deep below!
