new music: anderson .paak and knxwledge drop debut as nxworries ‘yes lawd!’ a week early #soundcheck

October 17, 2016

Between Anderson .Paak’s features all over Compton, and Knxwledge’s production work on To Pimp A Butterfly, there are few artists more poised for a breakthrough. The duo turned heads on their Link Up & Suedei EP, and their full length debut expands the sound and scope to an infinite scope. .Paak’s greatest talent is his penchant for being simultaneously irreverent, seductive, and deep all in the course of a single word. On cuts like “Get Bigger / Du U Luv,” .Paak’s unique voice floats over Knxwledge’s masterful production. There’s a giddy kid in a candy store approach to sampling, with 19 tracks running in just 50 minutes. The whole album showcases an uncontainable creativity from the two collaborators. It’s for sale officially October 21st, but streaming on Apple Music below.
