new music: kelsey lu’s new song ’empathy’ sets beautiful tone for latest ep ‘church’

Having recently released her latest EP ‘Church’- July 8th- Kelsey Lu is on the ultimate rise. Her new single ‘Empathy’ offers an exciting introduction to Lu’s soothingly enticing genre. The North Carolina- born singer is a multi-faceted musician and vocalist who successfully incorporates all aspects of her talent through her art. The premiere video for ‘Empathy’ works to highlight the more uncomfortable and yearnful components of the empathetic process. Virtually casting a spell with her repetitive lyricism and transfixing tone, her eery yet calming mezzo soprano also works to take listeners on the journey of her experience. A very natural texture from her instruments, to the scenery of the video, to her afro- the entire package produces a cohesive peace, and by the end of the song, the audience feels a comforting resolve.
