São Paulo- based photographer Jon Leão shares his most recent editorial project ‘BLURED’ and offers a beautiful perspective of light and contrast. Utilizing the blooming curls of his model (photographer and friend) Kamila Oliveira, Leão is able to amplify the beauty of the afro, while simultaneously highlighting the prominent hues of the piece. With obvious purpose, the model is place in the center of opposition:the center of hot and cold. Creatively conceptualized and meticulous in detail, the photographs balance the compositions of red and blue harmoniously; making it so that everything seems where it’s supposed to be.
