feature: immensely talented ethiopian artist gelila mesfin brings portraits to life with vibrant digital edits

June 9, 2016

Absolutely obsessed with immensely talented Ethiopian artist Gelila Mesfin and her digitally edited portraits. In these renderings, Mesfin uses geometric shapes and patterns to adorn and accessorize the photographs below them. Gradient color schemes and visual rhythm pull your eyes across the rich landscape of swirls, teardrop-shaped dots, and textured circles, which are possibly inspired by tribal prints. See more of Gelila’s portraits here and check out her paints and illustrations over here.
